Our task was to analyse the existing state of packaging within the food produce industry and identify key sustainability issues. From this, we would design and propose a future solution to improve sustainability and promote a more circular system.
outcomes
Eight buildings is a circular economy, self-sufficient living solution projected for 2040 validated by foresight research and horizons scoping. The final concept consists of food grown via aeroponic technology, meat cultured on-site and packaged with bioplastic film as well as an underground biofuel plant for waste treatment.
